Description
Sixteen dark times to learn how to say kuei tells of these moments and gestures that are not talked about and yet illustrate the proximity and solidarity between black and indigenous communities in Quebec. History, scenes, archives intersect, repeat themselves in sixteen fragments, like so many musical improvisations, to reimagine from a black perspective, the history and possibilities of the encounter of peoples beyond colonial violence.
Philippe Néméh-Nombré is a sociologist and researcher in black studies. His research focuses on the possibilities of relationships between black and indigenous liberationist perspectives, on critical methodologies, as well as on black ecologies. He is also vice-president of the Ligue des droits et libertés, and sits on the editorial board of the journal Freedom .
