Description

Preface by Haroun Bouazzi

Mexican factory worker, Indian rice farmer, Ugandan housewife, Aymara farmer: these people have in common that they were born in exploited or oppressed nations. This is the result of the institutionalized world order: the prosperity of the West comes largely from the impoverishment of the rest of the globe. However, current anti-globalization positions are too often synonymous with closing borders and withdrawing into oneself. To counterbalance this, Maïka Sondarjee develops an international position for the left that is truly in solidarity with the nations of the South: radical internationalism. With this anti-capitalist, decolonial and feminist vision of international cooperation, she wishes to integrate the Other into the heart of our concerns. An invitation to decolonize international solidarity and to consider a just global transition, the only way not to lose the South.
