Description
With the publication of the books at the end of January 2018 Women, Islam and the West And Palestine, the burden of hope, Full Moon inaugurated a new collection under the title REGARDS SOLIDAIRES. This collection offers books that invite reflection and that deal, from a humanist perspective, with various contemporary issues affecting the question of human rights, population migration, cultural mixing, equity and social justice, both on the national and international scene.
This collection offers testimonies and stories that attempt to get as close as possible to daily life in the West Bank. In a way, they are lost and found travel diaries that describe the lives of Palestinians. In addition to these stories, there are some historical references and factual data that illuminate and complete the texts. Photos too.
Palestine does not appear on any recent map. Yet its people continue to exist, to the great displeasure of Israel, which day after day plunders its land, denies its right to citizenship and confines it to a confinement worthy of the gulags of another era.
While our governments continue to praise Israel, support it politically and contribute to its development, the eleven citizens who have met women, men and children from Palestine bear witness to what they have seen on Palestinian land.
Through their findings and their refusal to subscribe to the ongoing denial of rights, they underline the need to break the silence and keep alive the hope of a just peace and a "good life", accessible to all in Palestine.
