Description
Nakunté lives in Mali. She learned from her mother how to paint bogolan, a traditional fabric painted with a mixture of mud and leaves. When she became a woman, she began the bogolan that would wrap the baby she was expecting. She drew on the fabric the symbols of all the wonders of the world around her.
