Description

Sidi, raised by his grandmother, Fatou the griotte, dreams of learning to read and leaves his village in Mauritania to join the capital, Nouakchott. There he meets Myriam and Olivier. A beautiful friendship is formed between the three children who share a love of beautiful stories.

Annick Combier worked for several years with street children in Asia and Africa, where she and her family met young Sidi. She has now returned to France, where, while continuing her fight against exclusion, she has turned to writing. Founder of the association "Ecrisud", she now lives in Marseille, where she runs writing workshops. She has published Fleur de cendre and La nuit du prince Grenouille with Milan.
Bénédicte Nemo is a graduate of Decorative Arts. She uses many techniques: watercolors, linocuts, collages. From Senegal, where she lived her first 20 years, she kept an African soul. This rich experience led her to the paths of the world. She has published many books for children, including a collection "Les terres des hommes" at Grandir or the series Paris-paradis at 2 vives voix.
