At the request of her daughter who is going to have a child, Marianna leaves her country for Montreal. She comes to spend four months, and ends up settling there. Between the memories that constantly bring her back home to the Mombins and the complicity that binds her closer each day to Sara, her granddaughter, Marianna tries to live in two worlds, that of her childhood and that of her old age.
