Three generations of women: Téta, the grandmother, Fadwa, the mother, and Emné, the daughter who speaks of the tenderness of those who came before her. The poems mend the bonds broken by war, death and exile.

Author's point of view

The fig tree under which we danced as children was cut down. I no longer knew where to go. In a sadness that I knew by body, I ended up fleeing without showing my shadow. In poetry, I saw the possibility of inhabiting a place and finding there the tenderness of the women who raised me.
