The issue of trans youth would benefit from being better known to the general public. For a long time, trans and non-binary identities in children and young people have been understood as developmental pathologies to be put on hold, or even corrected. However, current scientific literature and field experience show us that non-conforming gender identities are one expression among others of human diversity. Defending a so-called "transaffirmative" approach, which is based on a non-binary, non-pathologizing vision of gender, respecting the self-determination and expertise of people on their lives, this multidisciplinary work aims to provide theoretical and practical foundations on the subject, with the aim of supporting and improving the quality of life of these young people.
