The poems mostly take the form of letters recounting relationships with the daughter, the father, the mother, people. Beyond family portraits, we find in close-up the figure of the native country and that of exile, which are intertwined. For the author Marie-Célie Agnant, poetry is a "complement to the desire to live", a way of continuing the journey. As a photographer, she describes and paints fragments of experiences, she sings of hopes as well as joys, loves as well as sorrows. And then sometimes sometimes... a real place where the experience of life and that of language intersect. From the intimate to the collective, all doors are open. Readers have before them a world to build by agreeing to tear the black veils of the night in order to survive all the disarray.
