Description
"The horse saw the sea in the distance and humans on a machine that seemed to be a floating carpet. He understood that they were surfing. Without further ado, he jumped on a board and did as he saw. For a moment, he forgot everything and let himself be sprayed by the warm, salty waves. He lost his balance. He started again... again... and again... And the sea flow flooded him with pleasure!"
A horse that surfs, an earthworm that wants to go to the ball, the word that discusses with silence and of course a slightly lost chameleon, what do these characters have in common? They come from the imagination and the imaginary of Joujou Turenne. These tales and stories aim to do good! Sometimes no longer than fabliaux, they seek to make you travel in imaginary worlds where each person, in their own way, can project their own images from the proposed adventure.
These tales and stories are delicious, because they are filled with bits of life, they seek to nourish the deep soul... and awaken the appetite for questioning.
Joujou Turenne is a master storyteller who has been performing her tales on stage around the world for over thirty years. In Conte du caméléon , she offers us tales and stories that nourish the soul and act as a balm for the heart. Inspired by her ancestral realities – Haitian, Caribbean, African –, her nomadism and her Montreal roots, these tales are intended to be philosophical, humorous, therapeutic and playful.
