Back home, Max Lobe went to the Bassa forest to meet old Mâ Maliga so that she could tell him what she knew about the independence movement in Cameroon and its leader Ruben Um Nyobè. Confidences is the story of this voluble and mischievous woman, who experienced in her flesh the resistance against the colonial power. While telling her story, she does not forget to drink, and to make her interlocutor drink.
