I can imagine the shock and awe in the stands when Jackie Robinson entered his first major league game in 1947, at a time when for 60 years baseball club owners, relying on U.S Supreme court rulings, had prohibited any drafting of black players, Robinson's mere presence shook the walls of the temple of racist ignominy and needless to say, with each of his historic home runs, he was more aware of it.
