Chokola Phara Thibault is a singer-songwriter trained at the Saint-Hyacinthe Theatre School. Born in Haiti and adopted at a very young age, questions of identity have preoccupied her since the dawn of her life. It was at the heart of the major wave of the Black Lives Matter movement in the spring of 2020 that Phara put her words on paper for the first time. Through visceral poetry, she illustrates the discrimination she experienced with regard to her skin color. The future actress won the crown of the 26th edition of the Égrégore competition thanks to this play imbued with a rich sensitivity that speaks to the hearts
